For those looking out for a cool freeware for audio extraction and performing similar operations, CD Rider is a multipurpose program that provides plenty of impressive functionalities like reading audio data from CD-ROM’s, MP3 encoding and lots more. The application is fundamentally a CD Ripper and player, which also works as an Audio Encoder program.
Using the software, the user can read audio from music CD-ROMs and store it on the hard drive in MP3, Ogg Vorbis or WAV format. What’s more, it also supports free CDDB service and is capable of playing the encoded mp3 files using MAD decoder as well. The program is designed for supporting the 32 bit Windows platforms NT, 2000 as well as XP, and also supports the BladeEnc, LAME and GOGO Encoders for the process of MP3 encoding.
The CDDB service helps the user acquire all relevant information about disc title, artist, track titles, for digital audio compact discs. Furthermore, the user can even submit disc information to the CDDB server too. It has a sub-program CD Rider Shell Extension, which serves as an extension for Windows Explorer and provides a convenient option for changing ID3 tag information of the mp3 files as well.
